To: the artist in us all

I would like to start off my blog with a little salute to my students. My eight graders really impressed me with our most recent project. This wasn't a project that I had done before but I thought we would give it a try. After a week of practicing drawing hands, talking about patterns and textures, and sharing ideas about how we communicate ideas and feelings through lines, words, and pictures here is what some of my students came up with!

I decided that I wanted to start a blog to : 1. Share what I am doing in my art classes, 2. Share my own artwork and ideas, 3. Get ideas from other people, and 4. Talk about life.

I hope my students inspire you and remember,
